The Learning Minds Lab explores how children learn math and reading skills. Our research uncovers the cognitive and neural processes involved in children's learning so that we can help children thrive in school.

January 2024 - A big congratulations to Nina Jost who convocated and received her MSc in Developmental Psychopathology with Distinction!

October 2023 - Welcome to Nina Jost who is starting her PhD on children's number word learning!

August 2023- The Learning Minds Lab takes part in the Durham University Junior Scientists Days

July 2023- Nina Jost, Jess Perry, and Linda Arrighi present at the Wolfson Early Career Researcher Conference! 

June 2023- Nina Jost is awarded a Durham Doctoral Teaching Fellowship and will start her PhD in the Learning Minds Lab this fall! 

June 2023- Sophie Venter has started her undergraduate summer studentship in the lab! 

November 2022- New paper in Brain Structure and Function on the role of the angular gyrus in arithmetic problem solving
